The graduate recruiter from Coles will be coming on campus – and she’s bringing current graduates with her. They are running a session to allow you to meet graduates from the different streams of the program and will cover topics such as the recruitment process, program structure, development activities and the workplace culture.

When you hear the name ‘Coles’, you may automatically think of working at a store level (which is definitely an option), but these graduates will be speaking to you about the various roles at their head office - come along to find out more!

Monday 25 August

First Year Students - this one’s for you!

So far this year we’ve focused on final year and second year students - but what about if you’re in first year? Well here’s something just for you…

Many large employers are now offering first year students the opportunity to come into their offices for a few days to experience what it is really like to work there. Network with employees, undertake professional development activities and find out what they look for when hiring students/graduates.

If you want to know more, find out more about the various first year programs below:

Vacation Work Expo

We are hosting a Vacation Work Expo on Thursday 24 July, 1PM – 2:30PM. This is a must-attend event for first and second year Commerce and IT students!

So what exactly is vacation work? They are paid, professional work experience opportunities that large employers run over the summer holiday period. Getting into a vacation work program will almost guarantee you a full-time job with the firm after you graduate!

To get ahead of your competition, come along to the Expo for a chance to meet with the recruiters who screen applications!

Registrations are essential

Note: Business attire is strongly encouraged

More tips from recruiters!

A few more tips from the recruitment teams of some large organisation!

"Make sure you display your passion for the role you are applying for. Hint: Doing research to learn more about the firm, service line/department and position will help you do this! (Deloitte Graduate Recruiter Tip!)"

"To get the most out of the expo come along with some targeted questions about the companies and roles you’re interested in."

"We look for well-rounded candidates so make sure you highlight your extra-curricular involvement, interests and any work experience you’ve had in your application. Good luck with the process! Pitcher Partners"
