A Deakin student, Belinda McIntosh, has written a great piece on video interviews. It’s becoming more and more common so definitely read on below!
I’m graduating soon and embarking on an expedition into the slightly intimidating world of job applications and interviews. So I’ve set about doing a bit of pre- journey research and I’ve discovered the new trend in applications is all about video.
What do you do if you’re late to an interview?
Definitely don’t use any of these excuses!
With hundreds of students graduating with the same degree as you, how do you stand out to employers?
To help you with this, Deakin University have launched a great initiative called Me in a Minute.
Deakin is offering you the opportunity to create a one minute video of yourself, highlighting your knowledge and capabilities. This video can then be sent to employers or uploaded onto your LinkedIn profile. Deakin does all the filming/editing and did I mention that it’s FREE!
